ART & DESIGN

The textile designs and images displayed on my website have been generated throughout the last few years. They depict my journey into processing art and shaping my mission as an environmental teaching artist. As well as, my desire to create large scale, abstract artwork from discarded & found materials. My goal has always been to create an initiative for at-risk youth that advocates for environmental awareness. Creativity my vision is to display to the public a creative look into how much waste we generate in our society through exhibiting large scale installation projects that integrate large amounts of wasted materials. So far I have only scrached the surface "when it comes to a number of materials which is possible to use".  The possibilities are limitless we can one day have thousands of disposable cups inside a large scale cube, or reuse a Plymouth of plastic bags to texture large scale murals on high risers. That right there is the foundation of my mission, dream, designs, and artwork in its entirety. Through the quest to make art I've gained experiences in also coordinating community workshops for at-risk youth and teaching art to children. The projects are something I've been working on for a long time. They are always evolving and changing in my mind. Searching all possible outlets to connect youth to environmental education and lead them to understand more about our planet through offering them environmental art and making it apart of the pop culture.
